Mango Papaya Smoothie

A tribute to the hot dog emporium the Papaya King, this is a digestif for carnivores and the hungover.
Mango Papaya Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 frozen bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 ripe papaya, chopped and seeded
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 ounce fresh ginger, peeled and diced
  • Dash coconut flakes, optional garnish

Total time: 2 hours 15 minutes  

Directions

  1. Peel and chop bananas into bite-sized chunks and freeze for about 2 hours.
  2. Mangoes have an oblong pit in the center. Gripping firmly in one hand, use a sharp knife to cut mango lengthwise in half. Repeat. Use spoon to scrape fruit pulp away from skin.
  3. Combine all ingredients in blender. Process on pulse for 20 to 25 seconds. Change setting to mix or smoothie for about 10 more seconds, or until smooth.

Serves 4
