I made this recipe tonight. My roommate and I enjoyed it. It's nice to have another warming drink for the fall and winter besides tea and hot chocolate.

The "dot" of butter gives a nice presentation and an aromatic smell. Instead of using cinnamon sticks, I put a dash of cinnamon on top. Tasty and pretty.

I made this in preparation for a party tonight. It was an interesting mix. However, make sure to have a strainer for the pulp and the seeds. Also it doesn't specify what type of butter to use but some feedback I had was that it didn't have enough butter in it. The drink itself smelt delicious, and had a nice sweet flavor.

Hot buttered lemonade

If you like lemon, this drink is about as soothing as they come — it's somehow light and rich at the same time. It's great for all ages, and best of all, it's easy to make.

Prep time: 5 minutes, Cook time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
• 3 cups water
• 3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
• 2/3 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
• 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
• 4 cinnamon sticks (optional)

Directions
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, simmer water, lemon juice, sugar and lemon peel until sugar is dissolved.
2. Pour into mugs; dot each with butter. Drop in a cinnamon stick if desired. Serves four.
