Keith being in the food business, he's always been my source concerning whether food is still good to use or not. He says they always are extremely conservative about their "use by" dates, just to cover their rears. Most food is good to eat long past the dates indicated.

What a helpful site. They appear to be sourcing their information from the gov't (FDA, USDA etc) so it's a useful baseline for making decisions.
