I know I write a lot about the importance of family dinner, and I mention Laurie David’s book, “The Family Dinner,” almost every time I do. She recently posted a video to her blog where she shares her Five Family Dinner Rules, and I wanted to share it with you.
I agree with all her rules (except I don’t make my kids eat a little of everything on the table; if they eat the protein and the vegetables, that’s all I require). I especially love how she provides dessert specifically to make the time around the dinner table last longer.
