America votes for its favorite farmers markets
The results are in for American Farmland Trust’s 2011 America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest. Did your favorite market win?

photo: Justin Sewell/Flickr Now in its third year, American Farmland Trust’s America’s Favorite Farmers Markets contest continues to grow in popularity. The first year the contest was held, almost 30,000 people voted for their favorite market to take top honors. This year, more than 80,000 participated in the voting.
Here are the markets that won in each category.
- Boutique market: North Port Farmers & Craft Market, North Port, Fla.
- Small market: City of Rockford Farmers Market, Rockford, Mich.
- Medium market: Historic Lewes Farmers Market, Lewes, Del.
- Large market: Las Cruces Farmers & Crafts Market, Las Cruces, N.M.
Each winning market will receive a shipment of No Farms No Food® totebags, a feature article on Epicurious.com, and other prizes from the partners and sponsors of the contest.
Do you know where your favorite market came in? Mine, Collingswood Farmers Market in Collingswood, N.J., came in 10th in its category and first in the state.
