I stumbled upon a very convenient webpage, Cook It Quick, that helps you prepare healthy foods in a hurry. The page has a convenient chart that allows you to adapt a large recipe to a smaller one. Basically, it does the math for you, which I always appreciate. Here’s a small sample of what is on the much more nicely laid out table:
To make 1/2 of a recipe:
1/4 cup 2 tablespoons
1/3 cup 2 tablespoons + 2 teaspoons
1/2 cup 1/4 cup
2/3 cup 1/3 cup
3/4 cup 6 tablespoons
1 cup 1/2 cup
The table is also available in an attractive PDF that you can print out and put inside your recipe book or hang on your refrigerator for quick reference.
