Food blogging turned movie

A soon-to-be-released movie chronicles the life of a famous chef and a food blogger who was inspired by her.

Tue, May 05 2009 at 2:56 PM EST

Earlier today, I told you all that I was joining a challenge to cook every recipe in The Bread Baker's Apprentice cookbook and that I'd be blogging about it. This idea of blogging your way through a cookbook certainly isn't new. One of the early bloggers to do this was Julie Powell who worked her way through Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Volume I in one year.

Her experience has been turned into a movie, Julie and Julia, by Nora Ephron that comes out this summer starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. The trailer for this movie that I am very much looking forward to seeing has been released. I thought I'd share it with you here.

I read the book, Julie and Julia, and I loved it. I am so excited they are making it into a movie, and I LOVE Meryl Streep and Amy Adams. They do a lot of good movies together. Yay! And good luck on your quest to do all the recipes in the Bread Baker's apprentice cookbook.

I cannot wait to see this movie, but I had no idea it started with a food blog. Thanks for the info!
