Eat this for breakfast, and you won't need to invest in a separate green powder to boost your meals and smoothies with. The cereal is made with health foodie faves spirulina
and chlorella, as well as alfafa leaf, dandelion leaf, and spinach powder. And of course, the vegan cereal's not only organic, vegan, and all raw -- but sprouted to boot.
I poured myself a bowl with fresh bananas, blueberries, and almond milk. How'd it taste? The buckwheat sprouts had a nice chewy texture, flavored with the smooth, mellowness of organic coconut and vanilla and sweetened with coconut palm sugar. Plus, the raisins, bananas, sunflower sprouts, and sesame seeds in the cereal all added a nice complexity to each bite.
And of course, the greens added an extra kick. If you dig the taste of spirulina and chlorella -- and I must admit they're slowly growing on me -- then you'll love this cereal.
Hemp & Greens won't be an everyday breakfast for me though, because as I mentioned, the stuff does not come cheap! A 9-ounce pouch cost $8.49
-- and was gone within a day. Want to try the raw cereal? Find it at natural foods stores -- or buy it at Living Intentions' web shop
