iPhone apps don’t have to have a lot of bells and whistles to be good. They just need to serve some purpose. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has put their Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides into an iPhone app – including the famed dirty dozen fruits and vegetables that have the most pesticides when they aren’t organic.

 

The app is really simple. With one touch you can see the Dirty Dozen list. With another touch you can see the Clean 15 list – those fruits and vegetables with the least amount of pesticides found in their non-organic form. A third touch will get you the entire list.

 

That’s it. And that’s all it needs to be. You can have these lists with you at all times, and they are really handy at the grocery store or the farmers market.

 

The price is right, too. The Dirty Produce app is available to download for free for your iPhone. If you don’t have an iPhone, EWG has the list in PDF format that you can download, print and carry with you in your wallet.
