In my house, we always go with some type of pork served with black-eyed peas on New Year's Day, because superstitious or not - who couldn't use a little extra luck? But I had never heard of some of these others before. Looks like I might need to add spaghetti, fruit, and salad to the dinner menu too.
Do you have any special foods you like to eat on New Year's Day?
No matter what's on your menu, here's wishing you a healthy, happy, and joyous 2014. Happy New Year!
