Great prices on back to school waste-free lunch containers

Fair Indigo has amazing prices for one day only on reusable beverage bottles and sandwich wrappers

Wed, Aug 04 2010 at 9:50 AM EST

Fair Indigo is a company that sells fair trade and organic clothing as well as other items that interest people that care about fair trade and organic. Right now, they are having a big online sale, and two of the products that they have incredible deals on today only (8/4/10) are Klean Kanteens and Snack Taxis.

The Klean Kanteens are $10 for any size including the 12 oz. sippy cup (usually $19), the 12 oz reusable bottle that is the perfect size for kids lunchboxes (usually $16), the 18 oz reusable bottle (usually $18), and the 27 oz reusable bottle that’s a nice size to send your kid on the soccer field with (usually $19).

A Klean Kanteen is made of 100% recyclable, high-quality, food-grade stainless steel. The bottles don’t need a special lining like some other metal bottles. The bottles are also BPA-free and won’t leach chemicals, toxins, or funky flavors into your drink.

The Snack Taxis are reusable sandwich and snack baggies. They are meant to replace plastic zipper type bags. They’re on sale for $2.50 each, regularly $8.95. That’s 72 percent off. Two sizes are offered – the sandwich size and the snack size. Here are the product details.

  • Taxis have 100% cotton exterior.
  • Lined with nylon that has a polyurethane coating on the underside (the side that doesn't touch the food).
  • Both fabrics are free of lead and phthalates.
  • Can be machine washed and dried but recommended care is hand wash; air dry.
Fair Indigo has everyday $5.95 shipping. I haven’t started any back to school shopping yet, but I think I’m going to start today.
