Late last year, Matt did a fabulous job showcasing 40 chefs under 40 that are championing local and sustainable foods. Of course, there were lots of comments about chefs that didn’t get included but fit the bill. So Matt is working on a follow-up piece, and he's looking for MNN’s readers’ picks.
Do you know a sustainable chef under 40 years old who is incorporating local and sustainable into his or her menu? A chef who supports local farmers whenever possible and helps bring the farms’ foods to their customers’ forks?
I’ve already given my pick to Matt, but he’s looking for more than just my input .... he’s looking for your input. If you have a chef to nominate for the Readers’ Choice 40 chefs under 40, leave the information in the comments below. Let us know the chef’s name, the restaurant the chef is associated with, and why you feel the chef fits the bill.

Think you already contacted him, but you have to include Scott Hemmerly on the next list. He is fastly becoming the best chef in Atlanta, utilizing locally sourced products in his hotel.
I need new contacts. The chef's name is Brad BRISKE at Gabriella Café.
I'm so embarrassed!

2 chefs, actually: Stephen Wilson and Jill McClennan, owners of the Sweet Life Bakery in Vineland, NJ. They use local produce, including free range eggs and actively support the local community. Locally grown and picked fruits and veg go into their pies, tarts, and pastries and they showcase the farmers. Think outside the "restaurant" label and realize that bakeries can really be sustainable!
