Lemon roasted asparagus
One of the first vegetables of the season in many regions is asparagus. Here's an easy recipe to have on hand when the first asparagus hits the markets.

According to my iPhone Locavore app, the first local spring vegetable that will be hitting the markets will be asparagus. In some parts of the country, fresh, local asparagus is already in season. In other parts, it will be making its 2009 debut within a few weeks. I came upon this simple roasted asparagus recipe on YouTube. The asparagus is dressed up with lemon, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, chives and a little salt and pepper. It can be roasted in the oven or on the grill - Yum.

Great video and this recipe looks terrific! I love balsamic vinegar on vegetables. :-)
