After dinner last night, my friend Amy and I settled down to chat and nibble on some NibMor dark chocolate that I was sent to taste test. We each had a taste of the Crispy (72 percent with brown rice), the Almond (72 percent cacao with almonds), and the Extreme (80 percent cacao with cacao nibs).
NibMor’s line of dark chocolate is all USDA certified organic, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, non-GMO Project Verified, ethically traded and made with no refined sugar and cold-processed.
In the past few years, I have tasted a lot of organic chocolate, and I’ve tasted enough bad organic milk and dark chocolate to be a little hesitant when someone says, “Hey, can we send you are chocolate to try?” Fortunately, NibMor was worth saying “yes” to.
I enjoyed the Extreme bar the most. I find that the darker a chocolate gets, the harder it is to find one with a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture. This bar was fairly melt-in-your-mouth-y. It had a good flavor and a nice crunch from the cacao nibs.
In addition to full-size chocolate bars, NibMor offers what they call “Daily Dose of Dark Chocolate” squares. These squares are .35 oz each, 50 calories, and offer the health benefits that come along with having a small amount of dark chocolate each day.
NibMor chocolates can be ordered online or you can locate a store that sells NibMor on their website. It looks as if the brand is available at many Whole Foods.
