Pizza and chicken nuggets: In schools it's all about the money

A student journalist goes behind the scenes of his school cafeteria and makes a plea to Congress.

Mon, Oct 05 2009 at 11:09 PM EST

Tristan Leder, a senior at a San Francisco high school, interviewed students, cafeteria workers and his director of student nutrition about the school’s lunches. The students want better lunches; the school feels it’s hands are tied because of finances.

In the video, Leder asks Congress to please the money to serve food that is cooked fresh and tastes good.

Do the school lunches in the following video look like the lunches in your kids’ school?
