I will admit that I don't always know which herbs
would be best for which dishes. If a recipe tells me to add some fresh basil
or a touch of dill
, I will do it, but I've never really felt comfortable just adding herbs
willy-nilly on my own.
But adding herbs to a recipe can really take it from ho-hum to yum-yum with just one sprinkle. And that's particularly important when you're cooking for kids who may need a little extra convincing to try something new at meal time.
So if you are confused about cooking
with herbs — never fear! We have you covered with this definitive guide to all of your favorites. Don't be afraid to add a little basil to your berry compote or rosemary
to your roasted potatoes
. Chances are you'll be glad you did!
