Eattv.com put together this video that takes a look at the positive results the White House garden has inspired. According to Chef Sam Kass, who helps Michelle Obama by overseeing the garden, “thousands and thousands and thousands” of gardens are being planted all over the place, and he thinks they are “reestablishing that connection that’s been lost and it’s having a real impact.”
I particularly enjoyed hearing the comments from the teenagers who are working in the garden and learning about a better way to eat. If the White House garden can inspire the next generation to grow and eat real food, Obama and her garden crew will have accomplished something big.
I was unaware of eattv.com until I came across this video. It looks like a great site for those interested in sustainable food. I’m going to be digging into this site to see what else it has to offer.
