Did you know that tomorrow, May 19, is Food Revolution Day? It’s a little hard to miss if you’re a follower of Jamie Oliver and his Food Revolution on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Google+. (Yes, I follow him on all of them. I’ve never made it a secret that I’m a huge fan.) One of the things he wants to know is what will you be doing for Food Revolution Day?

I’ll be participating in the first South Jersey Swappers food swap tomorrow. It’s not an official Food Revolution Day event, but it certainly is an event in which participants will be standing up for real food.

When I first mentioned Food Revolution Day about a month ago, there were officially 29 cities, 14 countries and 154 events connected with the event. Now, the Food Revolution website reports there are 593 cities, 58 countries, and 427 public events happening. There are also 462 dinner parties happening all over the world.

If you want to participate in an official event, the Food Revolution Day website can help you search by postal code to find one.

So you know what I’ll be doing on Food Revolution Day. What will you be doing to stand up for real food, even if it isn’t an official event?

Jenn - telling my readers I'm going to be doing something seems to be the kiss of death for doing it. Sorry I didn't make it to the swap. Had my food ready and everything, but sometimes life gets in the way. Next time. (shhhhhhh... let's not tell anyone I'm going.)
