I was contacted by Mombo Sprouts to see if I’d like to test out some gluten-free products (some of them also organic) for Celiac Awareness Month. I have some knowledge that there are people out there who can’t eat gluten and that gluten is found in wheat. I also have heard about Celiac disease, but I don’t know much about it.
I’m now in possession of a large box of wheat-free, gluten-free products. Most of them are geared towards children. I’ve been testing them out on my boys and their friends, and sometime next week, I’ll be letting you know which ones passed the kid test.
Until then, take a look at this short video from the Mayo Clinic that explains a little bit about Celiac disease. I’ll be doing more research before I write more, but I find that I like to digest a simple explanation of something new before I delve in deeper.
