I've read on Dr. Mercola that Agave nectar as it's processed is not healthy at all - toxic (I have one large bottle unopened so that came as a shock). I also wouldn't use so much apple juice either - agreeing with the earlier comment that it would make it too sweet. I would substitute honey for Agave as 'i love it' suggests. this is incredible. However, 2 c of apple juice was a bit too sweet for my taste. I will try half water/half juice next time. Adding chopped nuts makes a great crunch!
i make this recipe all the time now. it is so good, and if you're in a bind, you can really make it with just 6 ingredients - quinoa, apple juice, almonds, dried apricot, and honey. such a great recipe!
i absolutely have to try this recipe. so inventive, yet simple. healthy, but looks flavorful. curious what else chef a has under her hat!!
