Hmm... while it's certain that a lot of plastic is bad for the environment... it doesn't have to be bad. That thin coat of plastic can easily be taken away before proper recycling, there just aren't facilities in the US set up for it (There are a few in japan, just hopelessly overwhelmed) And, you have to take into account possible contamination from those 'food bins' to human health as well. In every grocery store I've been to, those food bins are practically breeding grounds for insects and bacteria.

I even saw one woman bury her baby's dirty diaper in there.

Uhm...I thought rice was bad for the planet. So why would you say to eat it a few slides later. Make up your mind.

Watch the movie Food inc, and it will change how you eat, and how you look at the world around you.

This is the stupidest story, seriously cows produce natural gas? So does my husband after eating beans, does that mean I should stop letting him eat beans so that he doesn't produce green house gases?

But your husband is probably not 600-700 lbs. These animals produce far more natural gas than your husband or any human.

Have you actually ever seen a cow fart and compared it to a human being?
