Almond Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

Salty and sweet, double dipping and quick fingers create a savory food snack.
 
Almond Chocolate-Covered Pretzels 

Ingredients
  • 4 ounces pretzels
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 4 ounces shaved roasted almonds 
Time estimates
Prep time: 15 minutes  
Total time: 30 minutes  
 
Directions
  1. Place almonds inside a sealed Ziploc bag. Using hands, crush almonds into small bits. Place bits into mixing bowl.
  2. Place chocolate in ceramic mixing bowl. Microwave 30 seconds. Set microwave to 15 second increments stirring chocolate repeatedly until consistency is creamy.
  3. Rapidly dip pretzels into bowl, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Dunk pretzels into almond bits, evenly coating both sides.
  5. Place on wax paper-lined baking sheet. Chill until firm, about 15 minutes
