1 can black beans, drained. 1 can corn, drained. 1 Cup your favorite brand & flavor of salsa. Optional: chopped cilantro, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes. Mix together & serve with sturdy corn chips like Fritos. Also good as a side dish or on lettuce for a salad. No fat except for the chips. Low in calories, easy to make and tasty.

Yes, you can prepare healthier versions of favorite football game day food. For instance, for your meatball recipe, replace sweetened ketchup and sugar-laden grape jelly with cranberry sauce, pureed tomatoes, and Stevia Extract In The Raw. It's about converting the ingredients, while still maintaining taste. Take a look at how to convert your recipes for health http://www.steviaextractintheraw.com/Useage-Tips.aspx.... More

Eat to your heart's content

SNL's Superfans skitPerhaps you've seen the SNL comedy skit, "Bill Swerkski's Superfans," in which Chris Farley and John Goodman reminisce about prior
heart attacks while fawning over their beloved Bears.

Unfortunately, there’s an element of truth to this sports fan stereotype, as the ever-expanding waistlines of Americans make self-evident. It’s also true of the type of game day munchies served in sports bars and family dens across the country.

However, there are healthy alternatives to large dollops of cream cheese, sour cream and deep-fried foods. Before the advent of
utensils, friends and family dipped into the communal bowl. That food tradition is alive and well — and it doesn't have to come with a side order of heart
disease.

For the sports TV munchies, try these five healthier game day alternatives. (Text: Enrique Gili)
