5 vegetarian-friendly Thanksgiving recipes: Poached Pears in White Wine Sauce
Enrique Gili

I don't understand the difference between the sauce and the syrup?? Do you cook the sauce before you cook the pears or do you re-cook it afterwords???
You use the "drippings" or syrup from cooking the pears in order to make the sauce that goes on top. You make the sauce after cooking the pears for this reason.

Coconut Milk is the worst thing you can possibly eat for your coronary arteries. I'm a veggie, and I would rather choke down pure lard than coconut milk.

I've been a vegan for 20 years, so I'm not interested in recipes containing dairy, egg, etc. On Thanksgiving I usually put up the Christmas tree and eat pasta (with vegan sauce) at home.

my family gets together and eats vegetarian and gluten free on Thanksgiving. We have settled on Lentil Loaf as our main course, and it goes well every year. It's filling, it's healthy, and I make a mean lentil loaf! I'm going to have to try the pears, though. They look like heaven!
Can you share your lentil loaf recipe? I have yet to find one that everyone enjoys.
