I always thought a sea urchin was a plant? Either way, from what I read, they at don't feel pain. The defining point for me is, 'is the creature going to feel extreme pain from this, does it know what's going on'.... I do not know about sea urchins. By the way... has anyone else noticed that up to now, it'll all been fish?

For the first time I am seriously considering going vegan! (I'm already mostly vegetarian anyway!) HOW can people be so cruel? I refuse to watch the videos you provided links for, my imagination is bad enough. (I'm honestly NOT a racist, but couldn't help but notice that the majority of these seem to be Asian, in fact I read of a contest they hold yearly in China for the chefs who can best prepare these 'living fish' for consumption. I consume them. And, yes, I DO sometimes catch my own fish, but know how to 'humanely' dispatch them after I catch them...I NEVER allow them to die of suffocation! But, as I said, I honestly AM thinking of changing my diet to completely vegan, even though I work on an organic farm that raises meat as well as vegetables for consumption.

It is just uncooked food my friend, and yes there fish farms so they will not die second vegetables are living things so your just eating non extreme moving animals
Sea urchin
These echinoderms may not look too appetizing given their spiny exteriors, but they are prized around the world for their fishy-flavored roe and flesh.
