According to the Raw Food Detox Diet, when we cook our food, the cooking process removes enzymes that our bodies need to detoxify themselves. The solution to this problem is to simply eat foods in their raw state.
This diet encourages the consumption of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and seeds, and it has five different levels so dieters can select the one that’s right for them. Level 5 is the most lenient and includes 75 percent raw foods with at least one cooked meal a day. Moderate animal products are allowed, including eggs and fish. Level 1 is the most stringent, with dieters consuming only raw fruits, vegetables and juices.
