Cook time: 10 minutes
Total time: 20 minutes, plus cooling
- 1 pint fresh blackberries
- 4 ounces water
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1.5 pints vanilla ice scream, about six scoops
- 1 pint milk
In a medium saucepan combine berries, water and sugar. Bring to a boil for about 5 minutes, or when berries begin to break down.
Remove from heat and let cool.
Set aside a few berries for garnish.
Puree ice cream, milk and berry mix in a blender for 15 seconds or until smooth.
Pour into tall glasses. Garnish.
