Sure, sounds tasty, but it should have at least been pecans since they're one of our biggest commoditiy foods in the state. And maybe it could have been something other that zuchinni bread altogether...maybe something that represents the food heritage of our region...like NMgirl stated. If you're going to post an article about local food dishes, you might want to do some additional research next time. But nice first try.

New Mexico has lots of unique and delicious local cuisines from tamales and enchiladas to sopapillas and flan. There are hundreds of local foods to choose from and you couldn't find one. New Mexican food is not the same as Mexican food! The primary difference is the featured role of green chile in New Mexican cuisine. The cuisine of New Mexico is a unique blend of three different cultures: Native American, Mexican and European. not to mention you left out New Jersey and Conneticut HERE is a link for

You might think New Jersey is only about the Sopranos but, hey, it IS the garden state. We do have locally grown corn, tomatoes (as in, Jersey tomatoes), peaches, starwberries, blueberries, etc. You could have come up with at least one recipe from NJ!
