What if I told you that for under $10, your child could give each member in her class a Valentine’s card made with recycled paper and an all-natural chocolate treat made from 100 percent ethically traded cacao. Would you be interested? I am.

Endangered Species Chocolate has packages of 24 4.25” x 2.5” cards featuring a sweet Valentine’s Day saying, an animal picture from one of Endangered Species chocolate bars and an interesting fact about the animal. The cards are printed on Green Seal® certified paper containing 30 percent recycled post-consumer fiber. They cost $4.

They also have packages of 24 individually wrapped dark chocolate or milk chocolate squares (my kids love these milk chocolate squares). Called Love Treats, these squares are 100 percent ethically traded, all-natural milk chocolate bite-sized squares, wrapped in Valentine's red and brown wrappers. For information on the ingredients used in Endangered Species products, click here.

A bag of 24 Love Treats costs $6.75, but when purchased together with the Valentine’s cards, the total cost is $9.75 (plus shipping and handling).

Endangered Species Chocolate donates 10 percent of net profits to help support species, habitat and humanity.
