I always see a plethora of recipes after Thanksgiving for using the leftover turkey, mashed potatoes and other dishes, but I don’t see many for using up leftover cranberry sauce. So I thought I’d hunt some down.

Recipes using leftover cranberry relish
  • Bite-sized Mini Cranberry Walnut Tarts – This recipe uses a specific cranberry relish, but I imagine that any cranberry relish can be used as the filling for these little tarts.
  • Streusel Bars – Cranberry sauce or relish becomes the filling for fruity snack bars.
  • Cranberry Sauce Muffins – These muffins add some rolled oats for a bit of a healthy kick.

Recipes using leftover jellied cranberry sauce
  • Turkey and Cranberry Panini – This is a twist on the classic Thanksgiving leftover sandwich that uses the turkey, cranberry sauce along with some greens and cheese in a hot sandwich.
  • Cranberry Meatballs – Meatballs are simmered in a cranberry sauce/bbq sauce combination. Make small meatballs, stick them on toothpicks, and you’ve got a festive holiday appetizer.
  • Cranberry Cream Cheese Pinwheels – This is sort of a pastry idea with the jellied cranberry sauce and cream cheese rolled up into crescent roll dough.

What do you do with your leftover cranberry sauce?
