Chai Tea S'mores

I had to share this photo and a link to where you can find the recipe to these amazing Chai Tea S’mores. At my food writer’s co-working group yesterday, Alexis Siemons of Teaspoons & Petals brought these to share with everyone at our potluck lunch, and they were amazing.

What made these s’mores so delicious, so grown up, were the homemade chai tea graham crackers that Alexis made. She uses milk steeped in chai tea and some loose chai tea leaves mixed in with the dry ingredients to make graham crackers. She suggests a homemade marshmallow recipe on her website that is infused with cardamom.

One last piece of advice. Go for a milk chocolate in your s’mores that uses fairly sourced chocolate. Here are a few choices that you can get in many grocery stores.

Yes, these Chai Tea S’mores are more work than the ones that only require processed crackers and marshmallows, but they are so worth it. Serve these as a dessert at your next dinner party, and your friends will be satisfied and impressed with your choice in a sweet ending to the meal — maybe even enough to blog about it the next day.
