The eagerly awaited new cookbook from "The Fabulous Beekman Boys" is about to get some big national exposure. According to The Hollywood Reporter, shopping network QVC has struck an exclusive deal to offer up the book to its audience first. From the site:

 

"The cookbook will be available for purchase on September 28 during In the Kitchen with David hour starting at 9 p.m. It will then be widely available in bookstores on October 4."

 

Officially called "The Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook: Heirloom Fruits and Vegetables, and More than 100 Heritage Recipes to Inspire Every Generation," the 192-page hardcover tome is packed with gorgeous photos and delicious recipes from the Beekman farm.

"Like all of the products inspired by our life on the farm, the 'Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook' was designed to be worthy of passing along to the next generation," writes the duo on their site. "As you adapt each of the recipes in the book for the particular tastes of your own family, you’ll be able visit us at beekman1802.com, find the entry for the particular recipe and tell us what you did to make it your own. This way, each recipe in the book becomes a thousand different recipes."

 

Some of those recipes include Springtime Pea Pod Risotto, Summery Strawberry Shortcake, Quick Braised Collards in autumn, and Yummy Chicken 'n' Dumplings for snowy winters.

 

As for those gorgeous photos, Josh and Brent went with the talented Paulette Tavormina to illustrate the book. "We were tired of all the cookbooks using the same old overlit, soft-focus photography," said Brent. "It was time to shake it up a bit."
