Heat oil in a large heavy bottomed cook pot with lid over medium high heat, about 2 minutes. Place 3 kernels in pot and wait for them to pop. Remove and add remaining kernels to oil. Cover with lid leaving a small gap to allow moisture to escape. Keep one hand on the lid, while shaking pot from side to side until kernels pop, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add popcorn to bowl. Toss with crushed kales chips and season with salt.
