White Bean Salad with Tuna

This protein-packed salad can made be in minutes using a manual can opener, a glass jar and two mixing bowls.

Prep time: 5 minutes 

Total time: 5 minutes 

Yield: Feeds 2 to 4

White Bean Salad with Tuna


  • 7 oz. albacore tuna packed in olive oil, drained
  • 15 oz. can cannellini white beans, drained
  • 2 foil packets Italian salad dressing
  • 2 tbs. capers, drained
  • 1 tbs. Italian seasoning
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • Sea salt and black pepper
  • Half lemon, sliced (optional)
  • Sliced bread or crackers
  1. Drain tuna oil into sealable glass jar. Place tuna flesh in a mixing bowl and break into bite-sized chunks. Add drained cannellini beans fold gently.
  2. In the glass jar, combine tuna oil, salad dressing, capers and Italian seasoning. Shake until blended and pour ingredients into mixing bowl with tuna. Set aside.
  3. Chop onion. Add to salad, season with salt and pepper and plate with bread.
