Warm Figs with Goat Cheese

This late-summer treat can be whipped up quickly and multiplied by the number of guests you have.

Warm Figs with Goat Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon walnut pieces
  • Sprinkle thyme, optional garnish
  • 6 fresh figs, halved
  • 3 ounces fresh goat cheese
  • Drizzle balsamic vinegar
Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Fold walnut pieces and thyme into goat cheese. Place halved figs on a baking sheet. Top each fig with 1 teaspoon goat cheese mix. Cook on center rack of oven 5 to 7 minutes, until goat cheese melts. Sprinkle with balsamic vinegar.
  3. Serve on a bed of fig leaves. Toss any goat cheese that remains into a salad.
