Warm Figs with Goat Cheese
1 tablespoonwalnut pieces
Sprinklethyme, optional garnish
6fresh figs, halved
3 ouncesfresh goat cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Fold walnut pieces and thyme into goat cheese. Place halved figs on a baking sheet. Top each fig with 1 teaspoon goat cheese mix. Cook on center rack of oven 5 to 7 minutes, until goat cheese melts. Sprinkle with balsamic vinegar.
Serve on a bed of fig leaves. Toss any goat cheese that remains into a salad.
