Apricot Hazelnut Oatmeal

Start your morning off right with this sweet oatmeal recipe that’s perfect for those chilly mountain mornings.

Prep time: 5 minutes  

Total time: 10 minutes  

Yield: 1 serving

Apricot Hazelnut Oatmeal

 

Ingredients

  • 1 packet plain instant oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon powdered milk
  • 3 dried apricots, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon hazelnuts, chopped
Directions
  1. At home: Combine everything in a locking plastic bag or container.
  2. On the trail: Add 2/3 cup of boiling water to oatmeal. (Add more water if you like a thinner cereal.)
