Planet 100's 100th episode!

A major milestone for the Planet 100 team ... 100 episodes. Woot!

Thu, Apr 15 2010 at 3:00 AM EST

When we created the Planet 100 concept — 100 seconds of environmental news every day — for Planet Green Online, many were skeptical that we wouldn't find enough interesting news to cover. But as show host and writer/producer Sarah Backhouse can attest, quite the opposite is true.

Literally dozens of amazing news stories from around the world are breaking every day, running across every news category — from climate politics to planet-forward fashion, eco-celebrity philanthropists to carbon-neutral race cars, underwater sex acts to naked PETA protesters —Planet 100 has covered more than 300 news stories from a wide array of sources.

MNN, Treehugger, Huffington, New York Times, Washington Post, DeSmogBlog and dozens of influential blogs and publications around the world have contributed great stories. We are also growing our correspondent group. Katherine Goldstein, editor of Huffington Green, does the weekly social media "Web Vine" segment and Nick Aster, founder of Triple Pundit, is doing a weekly green business feature. And more will be added next season.
