Since BP's Gulf oil catastrophe, more than 11,000 National Guardsmen have been deployed to clean up a negligent FOREIGN oil company's mess. It just isn't right, and one organization, Vote Vets, is not happy about it.
They just released a fantastic video that presents a crystal clear message ... oil is unAmerican. It puts our environment at risk. It puts our economy at risk. And it squanders one of our most precious resources — the U.S. soldiers and National Guardsmen who have dedicated their lives to protecting our nation.
Instead of waging war on a seemingly unstoppable oil gusher at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico OR waging a war to secure oil interests in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan, we are working together to build a self-sustaining clean energy economy that puts thousands to work while strengthening our national security.
It's a beautiful vision. Go Vote Vets!

Check out this cool video about an Iraq vet who believes Americans need to kick the oil habit. He was injured and became a quadriplegic; he & his family are now building an eco-home: http://www.workingforgreen.net/node/247 Add your commentSign in with one of these accounts or just add your comment below. |
