Video footage from James Cameron's trip to the Amazon

James Cameron and Sigourney Weaver go to Brazil and stall (for now) the Bel Money dam project.

Politicians in Brazil are calling it a "clean" source of reliable "renewable energy," but the proposed Bel Monte dam project in Brazil is anything but. I just received this video footage from Amazon Watch, a nonprofit organization that helped to organize James Cameron's second trip to visit the Amazon, this time with Sigourney Weaver in tow. 
 
The trip, it seems, may have at least stalled the dam project. But it looks like there is a rough road ahead. Brazil has already raised the $11 billion necessary to build the dam, and with increasing pressure on the government to bolster a rickety electrical grid with "low carbon" energy, there is a very tough road ahead.

Perhaps if the USA didn't steal all the world's energy, Brasil would not need to build these life-suckers. Energy costs for my hotel in Amazonia are 11 times what they were in the USA for similar needs. People pay taxes here based on energy use. You want electricity, you give the pols your blood. How can you survive without electricity today? Productivity here suffers in every way. The commies are gobbling up Brasil because the USA is robs the rest of the world of oil.
