Update: Last comment was a single (warmy, naturally) comment on 22 March. Then it goes dead. Seem they just can't handle the arguments.

FMcK: "The raison d'etre of DeSmogBlog is to expose the campaign of misinformation being shovelled out by the denial industry, mostly linked financially to the vested interest in fossil fuel profit centres”

Well first, if it isn't about the science, it's about nothing. As to the "Helots of Exxon" crap, ah, come ooooon. Jeez, Fern, get with the program. The notion that the AGW alarmists are a bunch of penurious hippies heroicly pitting their puny all against.... More

DeSmogBlog isn't about science. It's run like a PR site (no surprise there - its owner is a PR flack), not a science blog. The Party Line is enforced, and don't you forget it. It's not about discussion, either. There's no toleration of skeptical views, and the comments section is strictly a Potemkin exercise. Try posting a sceptical comment if you don't believe me. Whooooosh. Sound of flushing toilet.

The raison d'etre of DeSmogBlog is to expose the campaign of misinformation being shovelled out by the denial industry, mostly linked financially to the vested interest in fossil fuel profit centres. I highly recommend that you read the DeSmogBlog Manifesto before you take a position on their credibility. These guys are PR people, and very good at what they do. Who better to expose the bottom-feeders of their profession who are making a pantload of money from the oil & coal lobbies to.... More

DeSmogBlog

If you want to stay on top of the ins and outs of climate change PR hackery, you should be reading DeSmogBlog. The site, lead by the smart and insightful Kevin Grandia, stays on top of the often complex world of climate change science and politics while not being afraid to mix in a little activism. It's the force behind Coal-is-good.com and its mirror site, Coal-is-bad.com.

What pro blogger Brian Clark Howard thinks about DeSmogBlog: "DeSmogBlog is one of THE best places to go to online to find hard-hitting news and analysis on climate change, pollution and environmental policy. The site has a science and fact-based approach, but is written for the general public. They try to elucidate complex and often confusing issues while retaining an accessible and readable style. DeSmogBlog should be on the reading list of everyone who is concerned about the future of our planet."
