Grist

Newsweek called Grist "The Daily Show of the environment." It was founded by Chip Giller back in the day in 1999 and focuses on the environmental problems and solutions facing the world. Their sometimes wonkish writers are smart and not afraid to thrown down the snark hammer when necessary.

What pro blogger Katherine Butler thinks about Grist: "Grist is fantastic for one reason — they go where many other blogs dare not go with a refreshing bite of snark! With edgier headlines like 'Grist in Copenhagen: How Focked are We?' and articles detailing how supermodels can fight climate change, Grist is much more likely to get my clicks. It’s nice to see a bit of comedy mixed in amidst what can be seriously worrisome headlines."
