Inhabitat

Inhabitat was founded in 2004 by New York City designer Jill Fehrenbacher and covers green design, architecture, energy and technology. The Inhabit philosophy — green design is good design and good design is green design — and the editors spend a lot of time finding great examples of both. In addition to running the blog, Inhabitat also organizes the annual Greener Gadgets conference.

What pro blogger Michael d'Estries thinks about Inhabitat: "Inhabitat is a visual tour de force that captures your attention with gorgeous sustainable architecture and informative writing. [It] was one of the first sites to break down barriers that green building was somehow 'ugly' or 'uninspired.' To this day, it remains a fresh example of the power of blogging to open eyes and inspire future thinkers."
