Sevenoaks bee hotelU.K. Wildlife Trust staff and volunteers at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve in Kent helped create a new Guinness World Record on Aug. 17 by constructing a bee home measuring 5 meters by 2 meters.
The bee home will be a permanent feature for the nature reserve, with bees expected to take up residence next spring. The event aims to raise the current plight of bees, with many species in serious decline, and to encourage Kent's residents to create a bee home on their own properties.
