Rothschild giraffe

A group of Rothschild giraffes look for food on Aug. 22 at the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.
 
The Rothschild's giraffe is the latest charismatic African mammal to be declared endangered by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), adding to the growing number of species under threat of extinction.
