Massive tree drifts ashore

A woman stands in front of a "piece" of driftwood that washed up on the beach in La Push, Wash. Powerful winds accompanied by high tides help bring monsters like this ashore.

La Push, home of the Quileute tribe, is located on the northwest coast of Washington state at the mouth of the Quillayute River, and is surrounded by the lush forests of Olympic National Park.
