Plastiki arrives in Sydney
Plastiki, a boat made of 12,500 plastic bottles, arrived in Sydney Harbor in Australia on July 26 after an epic four-month voyage that began in San Francisco on March 20. The aim of the project was to draw attention to plastic pollution in the oceans, but the designers also wanted to prove that waste can be used as a resource through creative design and construction.
