Ash cloud carpets Argentina

A local resident carrying an umbrella and wearing a face mask walks along an ash-covered street in Bariloche, Argentina, on June 6.

The Puyhue volcano, which remained dormant for decades, erupted in south-central Chile on Saturday, belching an ash cloud more than 6 miles high that blew over the Andes and carpeted a large area in neighboring Argentina.
