In recent years, Israel has gained a reputation as a paradise for birds and birdwatchers. Israel in general and the Galilee in particular are located at the center of the major bird migratory routes between Europe, Asia and Africa.
Twice a year, in autumn spring, some 500 million birds fly through the skies of Israel.
