Feathery showdown for dinner
All the eagle was looking for was a good fish dinner, but a much smaller seagull suddenly decided to try and muscle in on it. Ambushing the eagle from behind, the gull's remarkably daring interception was caught on camera by wildlife photographer Paul Beastall during a trip to the Norwegian fjords, or sea lakes, four weeks ago.
Beastall, 38, from Cambridgeshire, said despite the feisty seagull's attempt to disrupt dinner, the eagle got his fish in the end.
