This was a tough call — to pare down the top five environmental speakers from the TED conference. Many think the "E" in TED stands for Environment — it should, but in fact it stands for "Entertainment". So many of the best talks at the conference, which has been running since 1984, have been about nature and the environment. In recent years the skew has been towards scientists and technologists working to protect the natural world. Here are some of my favs...
